This time of year can be really hard for those of us who have lost a loved one, no matter how close or how long ago that was. The Trees of Love service, born out of the service begun at Pilgrims Hospice, gives us an opportunity to embrace the season gently together, remembering and sharing the warmth of Christmas hope.
The Christmas tree oustide the church was decoarated with the messages of love we needed to share with those we cannot see, meanwhile inside the children of All Souls school sang to us, and we heard poetry and readings among the well known carols sung together, followed by the most chocolately hot chocolate and a plentiful supply of mince pies afterwards in the hall.
