As part of her visit to the Deanery, the area of churches local to us, Bishop Rose spent the day hearing about our own churches activities and inspiring us with her experiences.
Bishop Rose's day started with a Holy Communion service at All Souls church where we were challenged to think upon the themes from Jesus' crucifixion as part of the feast of Christ the King.
She visited All Soul's Primary School where the children heard about her journey into becoming a priest and then bishop, and she answered every single question the children had before the performing arts group at the school sang for her.
Bishop Rose visited St Nicholas to see the newly refurbished work on the walls and prayed for the village before finishing her day with us at St Martins where we enjoyed chatting and again felt uplifted through her answers to our many questions.
We all feel rather invigorated in our aim to be the church of Christ in this place now!
